The Shannon Region is easily reached by sea and air. Shannon International Airport is at the heart of the Region and, with direct flights from the UK, North America, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Poland and many more, it is the easiest way to reach the region.

The Region has good rail connections and a network of uncrowded roads which are a pleasure for the motorist or cyclist. Below, we detail the main services. For specific information on services to/from Shannon Airport visit the Shannon Airport website.  The Region is approx. one and a half hours drive time from Cork Airport and ferry port and about three hours from Rosslare, Dun Laoghaire and Dublin ferryports. Kerry, Galway and Knock airports are other access options.
